About The Position

The GSRP Preschool Assistant Teacher position is for an ESS/Willsub Employee. The role involves supporting the Lead Teacher in daily classroom operations, assisting in assessing children's growth and development, and fostering a positive and caring environment. The position requires collaboration with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive learning atmosphere. Flexibility and a willingness to assist where needed are essential, with additional duties assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances, if applicable.
• CDA or associates degree required.
• Must obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Experience working with preschool children.
• Experience working with emergent curriculum approaches.
• Comfortable supporting and engaging parents and families.
• Skilled in communication, both written and verbal.
• Flexible and willing to help where needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with preschool-age children in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing children's growth and development.
• Support and assist the Lead Teacher in the preparation, planning, and execution of the daily operations of a classroom.
