Furever Family Veterinary Care Center•East Moline, IL

About The Position

Furever Family Veterinary Care Center is looking for a full-time Assistant Practice Manager who loves veterinary medicine, enjoys working with people, and gets genuine satisfaction from making a great team even better. This is a hands-on leadership role, so you won't be sitting in an office all day wondering what the heck is happening out there. You'll be part leader, part problem-solver, part coach, part organizer—and yes, sometimes part professional cat wrangler. You'll work closely with our Practice Manager and Medical Director to keep the hospital moving forward, support our team, and help create an environment where people can do their best work. We are a Fear Free Certified, full-service small animal hospital in East Moline, Illinois, caring for dogs and cats and the people who love them. We take our medicine seriously—but we also believe work should be a place where people feel supported, appreciated, challenged, and occasionally laugh way too hard at something that absolutely wasn't that funny.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of veterinary experience preferred
  • 1+ year of leadership and/or training experience
  • Experience with PIMS and reference laboratories
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Good judgment and the ability to prioritize in a busy hospital
  • Comfort giving and receiving feedback
  • A willingness to jump in and help wherever you're needed
  • A team-first mindset
  • A sense of humor is strongly encouraged
