About The Position
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join a team preparing a menu of more than 40 fresh-baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with whole ingredients. The role involves following recipes, paying close attention to detail, and producing and decorating pastries and other baked goods. Candidates must be available for early morning/daytime shifts and able to work through change with flexibility. Full- or part-time positions are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have morning/daytime availability; shifts start early.
- Ability to lift supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of large-scale baking or pastry experience, including working quickly to decorate pastries; this experience is preferred but not required.
- Formal baking or pastry education.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and pay close attention to detail when preparing pastries and baked goods.
- Work quickly to decorate pastries.
- Comply with applicable local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation standards.
- Lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
