About The Position

The Aubuchon Company is seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Parts Manager to support their small engine service department. This role involves overseeing the parts operation for equipment brands like STIHL and other outdoor power equipment manufacturers. The Assistant Parts Manager will assist customers and service technicians in identifying the correct parts, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure the department has the necessary components for efficient repairs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with small engine, automotive, equipment, or similar parts is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read parts diagrams and identify components accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and manufacturer websites
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy service environment
  • Willingness to learn new products, equipment, and manufacturer processes
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise and parts as needed
  • Weekend availability and flexibility to adapt to business needs
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, push, and reach throughout shifts.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check if driving is required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with STIHL products and outdoor power equipment is a plus
  • Comfortable working in an animal-friendly environment (accommodations available upon request).

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and ordering the correct parts for small engines and outdoor power equipment
  • Manage the receiving, stocking, organization, and merchandising of parts and accessories
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and research inventory discrepancies
  • Monitor frequently used parts and place orders to support service department needs
  • Use parts diagrams, catalogs, and manufacturer systems to locate components
  • Communicate with customers regarding part availability, pricing, special orders, and expected delivery dates
  • Process warranty parts and returns in accordance with manufacturer requirements
  • Coordinate closely with the Service Manager to prioritize repair and customer needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and easy-to-navigate parts area
  • Support counter sales and provide knowledgeable product recommendations
  • Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and store team members
