The Department of Agriculture, Geosciences and Natural Resources seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in Animal Science. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position that will be 100 percent teaching. The department is dedicated to excellence in teaching and providing students with high-impact experiential learning opportunities through undergraduate research, collegiate competition, service projects, and travel. The department offers five Bachelor of Science degrees: Agricultural Business, Agriculture, Geosciences, Natural Resources Management, and Veterinary Science and Technology. Animal Science is one concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree, which also includes Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Science, and Plant and Soil Science. The department houses the Center of Excellence for Experimental Learning in Agricultural Science and operates a 680-acre teaching and research farm to support faculty and students. Current enrollment includes 1,172 undergraduate and 38 graduate students with 35 faculty.
