About The Position

The Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University invites applications for a university tenure-track (UTL) faculty position at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor). We will consider applicants knowledgeable in the general area of Chemical Engineering. While we give the highest priority to the overall originality and promise of the candidate's work, particular areas of interest in this search include: Advanced Manufacturing Techniques, Advanced Materials and Processing, Artificial Intelligence in Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric and Environmental Studies, Energy Storage and Conversion Technologies, Fluid Mechanics and Transport Phenomena, and Sustainable Separation Materials and Processes. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, develop advanced graduate courses in their research specialty, and establish a world-class research program focused on the fundamental aspects of chemical engineering science. Potential collaborations may be found with various departments within the School of Engineering, the School of Humanities and Sciences, the Doerr School of Sustainability, and the School of Medicine. Furthermore, the successful candidate may engage with the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory and the National Accelerator Laboratory. Requirements

  • Completed, or be completing, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
