About The Position

The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Women’s College Hospital (WCH) Division of Dermatology is seeking to recruit a Clinician Investigator with an interest and demonstrated excellence in complex dermatology plus research and clinical expertise in the areas of inflammatory skin diseases and wound management. The successful applicant will be committed to a career in Academic Dermatology and should be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The successful applicant will also hold an appointment as Scientist, Women’s College Research Institute at Women’s College Hospital. The successful candidate will hold an M.D. and FRCPC qualifications (or equivalent specialist designation) with certification in Dermatology. Applicants must have or be eligible for licensure in the province of Ontario. The individual will spend approximately 50% of their time in research. The ideal candidate will have completed advanced research training (e.g. MSc, PhD or equivalent) with expertise in translational research methodology and/or clinical epidemiology. The remaining 50% non-research time will be participating in ambulatory patient care and clinical teaching and supervision. In addition, the ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated capacity and aptitude for effective interdisciplinary clinical and scholarly team collaboration and interactions. Women’s College Hospital is the first independent, fully ambulatory hospital in Ontario and is a University of Toronto fully-affiliated teaching hospital. Requirements

  • M.D. and FRCPC qualifications (or equivalent specialist designation) with certification in Dermatology.
