At Ashley, the #1 home store in North America, as an Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless warehouse operations and inventory accuracy while overseeing the warehouse, technicians, and customer service. Requirements

2+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse management.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
OSHA training experience with a solid understanding of workplace safety protocols.
Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to lift heavy objects of up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanners or inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, motivate and engage employees.
Provide performance feedback to employees regarding strengths and growth areas.
Promote a continuous improvement mindset.
Train and mentor team members on efficient and accurate picking procedures to ensure safe and timely order fulfillment.
Stay current on training procedures and warehouse processes, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sharing recommendations with leadership.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support smooth operations.
Promote a safe and organized work environment by adhering to OSHA guidelines and handling products with care, training employees on safety best practices.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory tracking, and accurate reporting of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Manage the repair shop and perform basic technical maintenance.
Maintain inventory accuracy by processing returns and conducting regular audits.
Utilize scanners to accurately track all product movements and maintain precise inventory records.
Oversee and execute accurate product picking operations to reduce errors and improve the customer experience.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for picking and receiving processes to ensure operational efficiency.
Manage daily merchandise transfer order processes (MTOs) by running reports and using scanners to execute picking, ensuring accurate inventory flow.
