Assistant Operations Manager, Bikeshare Service Delivery
About The Position
Motivate is seeking a qualified Assistant Operations Manager to ensure efficient daily activities for service delivery operations for New York City's bikeshare system. As the assistant operations manager, you will be responsible for daily supervision of operational staff, empowering employees with resources needed to conduct their duties, working in partnership with all team members to identify and ensure operational improvements are implemented, and otherwise ensuring safety and performance standards are met or exceeded. The starting work schedule covers the evening shift, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Tuesday - Saturday. Please note that schedules may be subject to change based on business need.
Requirements
- Prior experience in field-based fleet operations
- Previous supervisory experience for an hourly operations team
- Overseeing employees in a union environment
- Engaging for productivity and success
- Self-starter, thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Technology proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and can quickly learn new software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of audiences
- A current driver’s license and can meet the Motor Vehicle Record requirements

Responsibilities
- Develop scheduling and conduct daily supervision of the service delivery team; ensure the beginning and end of shift process runs smoothly
- Conduct daily supervision and training of employees; monitor performance on shift to ensure the department meets all metrics
- Lead daily operational standups including shift goals and safety topics, record and report daily operational metrics
- Utilize performance data to design and modify operational procedures to ensure performance metrics are met and improved
- Ensure that safety-related and quality control processes are in place and followed
