About The Position
The Assistant Nurse Manager supports patient care and services by using independent clinical decision-making and assisting in meeting patient care requirements. The role has hybrid administrative and patient-care functions and helps provide high-quality care and services. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE), day shift, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years of the initial hire date. An RN with 15 or more years of service or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may be considered as satisfying this requirement in lieu of an education agreement.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or Multistate License endorsement.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Two years of clinical experience in a professional or technical role/function.
- Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, or ARNP).
- Certification in a clinical specialty.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate patient-care personnel in the assigned clinical area and/or facility to meet patient-care requirements in accordance with physician instructions, MultiCare Health System policies, and approved patient-care standards.
- Perform administrative and patient-care functions.
- Execute tasks assigned according to the clinical area of specialty.
- Recommend new or revised unit methods for defining quality-management goals.
