About The Position

University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse to work on 8NE's ACE Outpatient clinic. This is a 100% FTE position with a Monday - Friday, 8-hour variable shift schedule. The 8NE/Blood Marrow Transplant/Oncology unit, also known as the Fred Hutch Cancer Center hospital within a hospital, is a 20-bed unit for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant and immunotherapy. The unit also includes a 6-bed clinic for outpatient symptom management and infusion.

Requirements

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN); applicable experience may substitute for education.
Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience and/or leadership experience
Passionate about program development and education
Strong leadership and clinical skills with the ability to manage complex care coordination
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
Current or recent Oncology nursing experience in an outpatient setting
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate

Responsibilities

Will fill the break RN role as needed in the clinic
Work closely with our APP and leadership team from 8NE and Fred Hutch to create a cohesive program across both campuses
Performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager
Assumes staff assignments and preceptor responsibility
Provides leadership and support for clinic that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others
