About The Position

The Opportunity: Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.

Requirements

• 2 years Applicable Experience
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse - Various
• Associate Degree - Nursing

Responsibilities

• Phone Triage
• Schedules emergent-need appointments.
• Patient follow-up calls.
• Patient education on particular procedures and processes.
• Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
• Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
• Care for patients with a long-term treatment process.
• Collaborate on a care team and provide face-to-face patient care
• Maintain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
