More about our team We are seeking a dedicated healthcare support professional to join our clinic team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff in a team-oriented environment, guiding patients through their healthcare journey with compassion and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Requires a nurse who is very detailed oriented in regard to Oncology Infusion orders.
  • RN with critical thinking skills, takes ownership, has initiative, dependability and accuracy are essential for this role.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing Required
  • Current RN to practice in the state of Kentucky.
  • BCLS

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in H & O is preferred, open to training.
  • bachelor’s degree in nursing Preferred

Responsibilities

  • RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • This position will review the Dr’s orders for treatment and then prepare the format that is needed for the pharmacy team to order and administer the medication per Dr’s orders
