Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a retail buying, merchandising, or planning role, ideally within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Retail Management, Business, or related field.
  • A passion for product and beauty, paired with a strong understanding of consumer trends, behaviours, and what inspires clients.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a proactive mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insights into action and opportunities into outcomes.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a dynamic environment and values cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven negotiation and relationship-building capabilities that foster successful partnerships with brands and vendors.
  • Confidence navigating technology and merchant systems, supported by advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A solid understanding of the Canadian retail landscape and the vendor ecosystem that supports it.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the Canadian beauty industry, including Health Canada regulations and product compliance requirements, is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Bring our online experience to life by maintaining engaging and accurate product content, including descriptions, pricing, and assortment updates.
  • Help create seamless client experiences by supporting Q&A content across our website, mobile app, and email channels.
  • Champion excellence by reviewing digital and marketing proofs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Leverage data and insights to generate performance reports and uncover opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Analyze sales trends, category performance, and client behavior to support strategic business decisions.
  • Partner closely with Merchant to execute compelling brand and product strategies that inspire our clients.
  • Build strong vendor partnerships by supporting negotiations related to samples, testers, RTVs, and damaged products.
  • Identify emerging trends, brands, and opportunities that help elevate our assortment and fuel category growth.
  • Shape the in-store experience by supporting visual merchandising strategies, planograms, and brand presentations that enhance discovery and drive results.
  • Contribute to exciting product launches by helping execute innovative 360° marketing and merchandising strategies.
  • Own key operational processes, including SKU creation, product maintenance, invoice review support, and markdown management.
  • Collaborate with Planning, DotCa, and Sephora US partners to support inventory management and sales forecasting initiatives.
  • Coordinate samples, gratis, and product requests while fostering strong relationships with brand partners.
  • Support field teams by providing timely solutions and guidance on category-related inquiries.
  • Keep teams organized and connected by managing reporting, calendar planning, market preparation, brand meetings, and cross-functional administrative support.
  • Help bring brand activations and category initiatives to life through thoughtful planning, coordination, and execution.
