About The Position

Support multiple buyers and assistant buyers by keeping purchase orders, item data, and key details accurate and up to date. Every day brings a mix of entering, revising, and tracking import and domestic purchase orders while meeting department, vendor, seasonal, and import deadlines. This role is fast-paced and detail-heavy, and your work makes sure the right products are set up correctly and ready to move. You'll handle UPC retrieval and maintenance, item setup for import, domestic, and private label products, and creation and revision of item and location lists. Maintaining accurate cost information and supporting item cost changes keeps our systems aligned with business decisions. You'll also support the team with expense report processing and other administrative tasks that keep the merchant organization running smoothly. Work closely with multiple Buyers and Assistant Buyers, acting as a key support partner for day-to-day merchandising operations. Frequent touchpoints with merchant teammates help you stay aligned on priorities, deadlines, and assortment needs. Strong working relationships make it easier to anticipate needs and remove roadblocks. In this role, you also interact with vendors and cross-functional partners as needed to ensure item and purchase order data are accurate and complete. Collaboration with internal stakeholders helps keep Retail Merchandising System (RMS) information current and reliable. Your professionalism and clear communication help build trust with all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of merchant support and/or retail experience preferred
  • Ability to stay organized, pay close attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills with experience managing multiple projects and a large volume of work
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to meet and exceed role expectations under minimal direction and supervision
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
  • A team-first attitude; while your core duties are your priority, you're happy to step in wherever you're needed
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and professional standards

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in business administration or a similar field of study preferred
