Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Meat Department to ensure efficiency, sales growth, and product quality
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and assign duties to meat cutters and clerks
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and build customer loyalty
  • Cut, trim, and prepare meat products using proper tools and techniques
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, perform monthly counts, and update records
  • Write and manage meat orders; verify delivery accuracy and quality
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and workplace standards
  • Implement merchandising programs, pricing, signage, and promotional displays
  • Monitor product freshness, remove expired items, and follow markdown procedures
  • Analyze reports to identify operational successes and improvement opportunities
  • Handle special customer orders and customized cuts
  • Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
