About The Position

Gordon Biersch is seeking an Assistant Manager for its restaurant located at the DTW Airport. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about craft beer, delicious food, and exceptional customer service, possessing strong leadership skills and thriving in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, maintaining high standards for food and beverage quality, customer service, and guest experience. A strong background in restaurant management, a passion for the culinary and craft beer industry, and exceptional leadership and organizational skills are essential. Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in leading, motivating, and developing a team of dedicated restaurant staff, ensuring a positive work environment and exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing inventory, food quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards during your shift.
  • Assist in managing the restaurant's budget, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability while achieving revenue targets.
  • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by monitoring and improving service quality, responding to customer feedback, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a strong team of employees, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
