Requirements

Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages; age requirements may vary by state.
Must hold certifications and licenses required by local Health Department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission statutes.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to carry out the physical functions of the job, including carrying food and beverages and physically dancing.
Ability to responsibly handle cash transactions.
Ability to coordinate the needs of all tables within the assigned station.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive service experience for every guest and help guests feel welcome and important.
Ensure food and beverages are served at appropriate temperatures and meet quality standards.
Follow timing standards for products and services; look for ways to consolidate service and increase table turns.
Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage suggestions.
Know the food, liquor, beer, wine, and retail items offered.
Use a positive suggestive-sales approach to guide guests.
Serve guests in an accommodating manner and deliver food and beverages to tables as needed.
Pre-bus and bus tables and maintain table cleanliness.
Look for ways to avoid waste and limit costs.
Help keep the restaurant clean and safe, including completing daily cleaning-calendar tasks.
Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
Participate in Celebration.
Follow cash-handling policies and procedures.
Coordinate the needs of all tables within the assigned station and work as part of a team.
