About The Position

The Assistant Manager achieves sales growth and maintains company standards of excellence for an assigned shift by managing food-service activity, assigning tasks, overseeing cash control, and ensuring high-quality food and hospitality. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant Manager helps train Team Members, supports the General Manager, assists with overall operations, and develops and retains Team Members.

Responsibilities

Supervise Team Members and Shift Leaders while maintaining standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and profitability.
Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with management and fellow Team Members.
Handle HR issues as they arise, including disciplinary write-ups.
Conduct team meetings as needed to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.
Conduct weekly inventories.
Control payroll to meet company labor-cost standards.
Control inventory to meet company GAP standards.
Support the management team and General Manager in operational decisions.
Maintain reports and records according to company standards and state and federal regulations.
Maintain the building and equipment through proper operating, cleaning, and preventative-maintenance procedures.
Assume responsibility for cash on all shifts, including bank deposits, and ensure cash procedures are followed.
Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
Maintain personal appearance according to company standards and display professionalism.
Follow HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
