About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in operating a high-energy convenience store, providing customer service, overseeing store operations, and leading team members. The role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, with work primarily on second or third shifts. The Assistant Manager may act as store manager when the Store Manager is absent and helps ensure the store is staffed, stocked, clean, and financially well managed.

Requirements

Open availability to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
Comfort with cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
Willingness to learn.
Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Operate the register and assist customers promptly, accurately, and courteously.
Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing, customer-service-focused team.
Act as manager when the Store Manager is absent.
Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
Maintain a clean and welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
Create and manage team schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Handle daily cash, make deposits, and oversee store financials.
Provide feedback and leadership to motivate team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
