About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in running a high-energy convenience store, handling customer service, team leadership, and day-to-day operations. The role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, and work primarily on second or third shifts. The Assistant Manager serves as acting manager when the Store Manager is absent and helps maintain store performance, customer service, and operational standards.

Requirements

• Open availability, including weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
• Comfort with cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Operate the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a team focused on customer service and store success.
• Act as manager when the Store Manager is absent.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Handle daily cash, make deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
