About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager with day-to-day operations at a small franchise employing 10–15 people. The company seeks a self-motivated, organized, hardworking person with team-building skills who wants to grow with the company. The role includes food preparation and product delivery, along with store operations and management responsibilities. The position is full-time, hourly, and paid biweekly, with schedules that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The store is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The role requires delivery driving within a designated area and may involve several deliveries per shift. Drivers deliver products to customers, as well as flyers and door hangers, using an insured vehicle that meets store and corporate safety standards. The work involves extended periods standing, frequent hand use, lifting and carrying supplies, and exposure to hot ovens, coolers, outdoor conditions, and cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

Reliable transportation.
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work 35–50 hours per week.
Strong communication, organization, and team-building skills.
Basic computer skills; Word and Excel are preferred.
Basic math and bookkeeping skills.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
At least two years of driving experience.
Access to a reliable, insured vehicle that meets store and corporate safety standards and is insured for delivery driving.
Must provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the DMV.
No more than three traffic violations in three years or two in two years.
Able to meet the physical requirements, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, climbing, balancing, and repetitive hand use.
Able to work around extreme temperatures, including ovens, coolers, and outdoor conditions, and use chemical cleaners.

Nice To Haves

Food handler license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in the food industry.
At least two years of management experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers' doors within a designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Perform physical store tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and handling supplies and ingredients.
Use store equipment and tools, including a computer, telephone, calculator, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
