About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas into storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes associated paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, order-taking and communication skills, coordination and precise movements, use of a computer keyboard or touch screen, and the ability to follow written instructions. Delivery duties require map-reading and address-finding skills and navigating varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products. The listed pay is $17–$19 per hour, plus potential bonus.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
