About The Position

As the Restaurant Assistant Manager at Avenue Café inside MGM Grand, you will play a key leadership role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will lead daily restaurant operations, inspire and support your team, and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests. By anticipating needs, building genuine connections, and demonstrating a passion for hospitality, you will help create memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of relevant food and beverage experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Working knowledge of Culinary Union contracts.

Responsibilities

• Make daily floor plans for each shift to ensure proper station rotation and coverage.
• Supervise floor service in dining rooms during operating hours.
• Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records.
• Maintain communication with the Chef about food service and menu issues.
• Communicate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address needs or issues raised by guests and employees.
• Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing, and prepare purchase requisitions for outlets obtaining items from the warehouse or support departments.
• Keep inventory forms and stocking areas updated.
• Inspect food from support departments for freshness and quality.
• Communicate directly with guests about special requests and large-party reservations.
