Assistant Manager - Group Homes
About The Position
Living Resources is a non-profit human services agency that supports and empowers individuals with disabilities or other life-challenging conditions to live with dignity, independence, and happiness. Employees are expected to be respectful and supportive of families, working with them as partners to provide care and services. The Assistant Manager oversees Direct Support Professionals and provides care to the people supported. In collaboration with the Residential Habilitation Manager, the Assistant Manager serves as a positive role model for individuals and co-workers and helps ensure services meet individuals’ needs. The role supports day-to-day life management, community participation, and the development and implementation of residential habilitation and individual program plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience working with the developmentally disabled population; or a two-year degree in a related field and one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled population.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals supported with the day-to-day management of their lives.
- Assist individuals supported in actively participating in their communities.
- Perform management functions.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Residential Habilitation Plan.
- Provide input to the individual’s program plan.
- Oversee Direct Support Professionals and provide care to the people supported.
- Collaborate with the Residential Habilitation Manager to model positive behavior and help ensure quality services meet individuals’ needs.
- Work respectfully and supportively with families as partners in providing care and services.
