About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The role requires strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and give written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and using a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders. The work environment involves exposure to varying weather conditions, fluctuating in-store temperatures, food odors, dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying, pushing, and occasional climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting. Reaching is performed continuously, and hand tasks require eye-hand coordination, including frequent and/or forceful use of forearms and wrists for tasks like shaping dough. Team members must be able to grasp various items and manipulate tools like a pizza peel and rolling cutter. Tools and equipment may include pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role involves delivering product by car to customer doors, distributing marketing materials, and requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle. Navigational skills, including map reading and locating addresses, are essential. Delivery personnel must navigate various terrains and multi-story buildings while carrying product. Physical demands during delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages, driving within a designated area, and walking to and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location. Climbing may involve navigating multiple flights of stairs. Work conditions during delivery include exposure to varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
Must be able to make correct monetary change
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
Motor coordination between hands and fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards
Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
Must navigate adverse terrain including multy-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
