About The Position

The Assistant Manager (Operations) helps lead the store team, support daily store operations, and create an exceptional customer experience. The position is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store. The Assistant Manager models Maverik’s Greet, Engage, and Thank (GET) customer service expectations, coaches Team Members, supports consistent execution, and holds the team accountable for providing a welcoming and engaging experience. The role also involves working alongside the team to keep the store and Food Service operation running smoothly and assisting with Team Member training, mentoring, and supervision.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
• Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by 24/7 store operations.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with Team Members and provide customer service.
• Must remain calm under pressure while delivering customer service.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills, including recognizing and analyzing issues and creating effective solutions.
• Must be able to meet the stated physical requirements, including lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

• One or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
