The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in hiring, developing, and leading store associates; delivering optimal customer experiences; overseeing store operations; and maintaining brand standards. The role helps develop and execute strategies to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, communication, and accountability. When the Store Manager is absent, the Assistant Manager is responsible for all primary duties. The Assistant Manager supervises daily associate goals and activities, supports in-store and Omni-channel sales, maintains merchandising and other brand standards, resolves customer concerns, and monitors store trends. The role trains, coaches, and develops associates, supports recruiting, enforces company policies, maintains associate relations, and fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging. It also ensures company processes and digital fulfillment strategies are followed; supports inventory, payroll, scheduling, and opening and closing procedures; and safeguards the store through safety, loss-prevention, cash, inventory, and HAZMAT procedures. The position requires physical activity including extended standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The employee may occasionally work in other stores. The work environment is a retail setting and may also include offices, meeting and training rooms, residences, or commercial vehicles, with ordinary workplace risks and normal safety precautions.
