About The Position

Nothing Bundt Cakes is hiring an upbeat, organized Assistant Manager to help run its bakery, develop the team, and create a welcoming guest experience. The Assistant Manager works under the Regional Director and leads bakery shifts, keeping production on schedule and ensuring cakes meet quality expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role with a development path to General Manager and other management levels across the franchise’s four locations.

The position is hourly, scheduled for 30–40 hours per week, with a mix of opening, mid, and closing shifts, including weekends. Hiring is for the Pennsylvania bakeries in Whitehall, Easton, and Quakertown. Compensation is $18.00–$24.00 per hour. The posting describes reasonable hours and no late-night closes.

Requirements

• Supervisory or shift-lead experience in retail, food service, or hospitality.
• A genuine enjoyment of working with people and the ability to motivate a team during busy periods.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage orders, staffing, and guests at once.
• Comfort with basic math, cash handling, and simple reports.
• Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts by opening or closing the bakery, assigning tasks, and keeping the team focused and positive.
• Model warm, fast guest service and resolve guest concerns.
• Train new hires, provide real-time feedback, and help team members build their skills.
• Oversee baking, frosting, and decorating schedules so cakes are fresh and orders are ready on time.
• Help manage labor, inventory, ordering, cash handling, and daily sales goals.
• Support local events, donations, and large catering or corporate orders.
• Uphold food-safety, cleanliness, and brand standards.
