About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers within a designated delivery area. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, and understanding and giving written instructions. It also requires precise motor coordination and the ability to navigate to addresses and across varied terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
