About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates store equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurately processing customer orders in person and by phone, using a computer keyboard or touch screen, handling monetary change, communicating with customers and coworkers, and following written instructions. Delivery duties require map-reading and navigation skills, locating addresses within the delivery area, and traversing varied terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
