About The Position

The Assistant Manager role involves a variety of operational duties within the store, including equipment operation, stocking ingredients, product preparation, order taking (phone and in-person), inventory management, and facility cleaning. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, as well as the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for monetary transactions. The role also includes delivery responsibilities, requiring a valid driver's license, a reliable and insured vehicle, and the ability to navigate various terrains and multi-story buildings while carrying products. The work environment can involve exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, and reaching. Eye-hand coordination and continuous use of hands are essential for various tasks, including dough shaping, using tools, and box assembly. Team members may also be required to use a variety of tools and equipment such as pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, walk-in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
  • Deliver product by car and then to door of customer
  • Deliver flyers and doorhangers or any marketing materials
