About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, and receiving/processing telephone orders. The position requires taking inventory, completing paperwork, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and strong verbal and written communication skills for order processing. Motor coordination for precise hand and finger movements, and the ability to enter orders via computer or touchscreen are also crucial. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, commercial dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot/cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include extensive standing and walking on various surfaces, with work surfaces generally between 36" and 48". Lifting of bulk product deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds is required, with cases typically lifted from the floor and stacked up to 72" high. Carrying large cans (3 lbs 7 oz) and occasionally pizza sauce (30 lbs) or trays of pizza dough (12 lbs each) is necessary. Pushing trays on dollies (requiring 7.5 lbs of force) and pulling trays are part of the job. Team members may infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladders. Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stacking ingredients. Crouching/squatting is performed occasionally for stocking and cleaning. Reaching continuously (up, down, and forward) is required for tasks such as operating oven controls, changing prices, lifting/lowering objects, scooping ingredients, washing dishes, and obtaining topping ingredients. Eye-hand coordination is essential, with continuous use of hands for tasks like shaping pizza dough, manipulating a pizza peel, using a rolling cutter, and pinching to assemble pizza boxes. Team members must be able to grasp various items including cans, phones, cutters, peels, and boxes. Tools and equipment used may include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. The delivery aspect of the role requires operating a car to deliver product to the customer's door, and distributing marketing materials. A valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle are required. Essential skills include navigational abilities to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, and the ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing stairs (potentially five or more flights). Driving is a primary function, making multiple deliveries per shift within a designated area. Walking is required between the store and the delivery vehicle, and from the vehicle to the customer's location. Work conditions during delivery include exposure to varying weather conditions.
