About The Position

The Assistant Manager role involves a variety of tasks including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. Team members are responsible for ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform basic math, and good motor coordination. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, food odors, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving parts. Team members must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, lift, carry, push, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders. Driving to deliver products is a key responsibility, requiring a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Far vision and night vision for driving.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions.
Standing for most tasks.
Walking for short distances for short durations.
Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds).
Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 pounds), and trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 pounds per tray).
Pushing to move trays on dollies.
Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
Forward bending at the waist.
Crouching/Squatting performed occasionally.
Reaching continuously; up, down and forward.
Use of hands is continuous during the day.
Shaping pizza dough requires frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists.
Manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven, and when using the rolling cutter.
Frequent and/or forceful pinching is required in the assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
Must be able to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
