About The Position

Living Resources is a non-profit human services agency dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities or other life-challenging conditions to live with dignity, independence, and happiness. The agency also works with and for families, providing peace of mind and partnering with them to offer care and services. The Assistant Manager role is situated within the Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP) in the Orange County location.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • One year of experience working with people with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the County Manager and the County Day Habilitation Coordinator in the delivery of the Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP) services to all county participants.
  • Assist in the management and/or administration of all program specific systems, policies and procedures.
  • Supervise Day Opportunities Specialists (DOS).
  • Serve as a positive role model for participants and co-workers.
  • Maintain diligent and accurate records.
  • Offer constructive guidance as needed.
  • Attend and support all agency and department trainings.
  • Effectively communicate with families and the community.
