About The Position
Oil Changers is hiring an Assistant Manager for an automotive service operation focused on providing fast, courteous service to customers. The position rotates through Lube Technician duties in the Upper Bay and Lower Bay, as well as Greeter and Cashier duties. Training is provided, and the role offers full-time employment with benefits. The position reports to the Manager and Assistant Manager, receives daily assignments from them, and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- Read and write English.
- Successfully complete the Lube Technician training course.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers and respond to communication calls from co-workers.
- Be able to reach four feet overhead.
- Perform constant bending, stretching, and walking up and down stairs; mobility is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team to ensure procedures are complete.
- Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
- Provide service to customer vehicles.
- Check and change car fluids and filters.
- Check and adjust vehicle tire pressure.
- Provide specialized services, including transmission, differential, and radiator services.
- Enter customer and maintenance information into the computer.
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Explain services provided, recommend additional services, and answer customer questions.
- Accept payment for services.
- Maintain a clean work area, including grounds, restrooms, and customer areas.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Rotate through Lube Technician duties in the Upper Bay and Lower Bay, and Greeter and Cashier duties.
- Maintain timely, quality service; accurate and timely data entry; a clean and safe work area; safe work habits; proper uniform use and hygiene; and effective employee relations.
