About The Position

Oil Changers is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician for its El Paso location. The role provides automotive services and customer support, with training provided by the company. Technicians rotate through Upper Bay and Lower Bay duties, as well as Greeter and Cashier responsibilities. The position reports to the Manager and Assistant Manager and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The work takes place entirely in a garage environment, with exposure to heavy equipment, slick surfaces, and hot and cold temperatures. Success in the role requires timely, quality service; accurate computer data entry; courteous customer service; a clean and safe work area; safe work habits; proper uniform use and hygiene; and effective employee relations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Successful completion of the Lube Technician training course.
• Ability to reach four feet overhead.
• Ability to bend, stretch, walk up and down stairs, and maintain mobility as required by the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers and respond to co-worker communication calls.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to ensure procedures are completed.
• Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Provide service to customer vehicles.
• Check and change car fluids and filters.
• Check vehicle tire pressure.
• Provide specialized services, including transmission, differential, and radiator services.
• Enter customer and maintenance information into a computer.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Explain the service provided, recommend additional services, and answer questions.
• Accept payment for services.
• Maintain a clean work area, including the grounds, restrooms, and customer area.
• Rotate through Lube Technician duties in the Upper Bay and Lower Bay, and Greeter and Cashier duties.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
