About The Position

The Lube Technician provides vehicle maintenance services and customer service in a garage environment. Oil Changers provides the training needed for this entry-level position; previous automotive experience is helpful but not required. Technicians rotate through duties in the Upper Bay and Lower Bay, as well as Greeter and Cashier duties. The position reports to the Manager and Assistant Manager and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Read and write English.
Successfully complete the Lube Technician training course.
Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers and respond to communication calls from coworkers.
Be able to reach four feet overhead; bending, stretching, walking up and down stairs, and mobility are regularly required.

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Work as a team to ensure procedures are complete.
Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters and checking tire pressure.
Provide specialized services, including transmission, differential, and radiator services.
Enter customer and maintenance information into a computer.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service, explain services provided, recommend additional services, and answer questions.
Accept payment for services.
Maintain a clean work area, including grounds, restrooms, and customer areas.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Rotate through Lube Technician duties in the Upper Bay and Lower Bay, and Greeter and Cashier duties.
Maintain timeliness and quality of service, accurate and timely data entry, safe work habits, clean work areas, proper uniform usage and hygiene, and effective employee relations.
