About The Position

Soma is an intimate apparel brand focused on combining fashion and function to help women feel empowered through comfortable, innovative products. The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and creating a seamless customer experience. The role helps foster a welcoming environment for associates and customers and supports memorable, personalized experiences that reflect Soma’s culture of hospitality.

The Assistant Manager helps build, lead, and develop a team; achieve store financial goals; and deliver a customer-centered experience. The position also supports hiring, associate development and coaching, sales-floor leadership, product knowledge, and omni-channel selling. It helps maintain brand visual standards and ensures safe, efficient store operations, including inventory management, replenishment, and inventory execution. The Assistant Manager ensures compliance with company policies and practices and contributes to community connections through sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Team-player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products; maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom; operate the register; and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

• Three years of retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities
