Assistant Manager - Chili's - Portland, TX
About The Position
Chili’s is seeking an Assistant Manager with restaurant experience and a desire to grow into management and beyond. The role supports restaurant operations and helps ensure quality food, Guest service, and hospitality. Assistant Managers build genuine connections with Team Members and Guests while helping the restaurant deliver strong results. This is a full-time position requiring 50 hours per week. The position includes opportunities for growth and development toward Manager, General Manager, and beyond. Leaders are offered a fair and balanced schedule intended to support quality of life outside the restaurant.
Requirements
- Restaurant experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Dependable team player.
- Able to think and act quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Adhere to Responsible Alcohol Service standards and the Alcohol Service Policy.
- Adhere to Chili’s Safety and Sanitation Standards.
- Food Safety Certified.
Responsibilities
- Assist with restaurant operations and conditions to ensure product quality, Guest service, and hospitality.
- Review documentation to assess the quality of restaurant operations.
- Assist with training non-management employees.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to Team Members based on work requirements.
- Administer kitchen setup by creating prep sheets and assigning station and cleaning duties.
- Attend Manager and Certified Trainer meetings.
- Perform basic register functions, including voids, comps, discounts, and other table maintenance.
- Assist management in monitoring food and beverage preparation, receiving, and storage.
- Resolve Guest complaints.
- When needed, perform the duties of a Server, Bartender, Host, Expediter, Line/Prep Cook, or Dishwasher.
