About The Position

Hourglass Cosmetics is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Social Media Assistant Manager to drive innovative global social media campaigns that deliver best-in-class consumer experience and engagement. We are looking for an experienced and creative individual with a genuine passion for cosmetics, experience executing social media best practices and understanding of the luxury industry. The Social Media Assistant Manager will focus on creative strategy and content creation for Hourglass social. This role will work across all key social media platforms; Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and help to identify and execute content strategies best suited for each. This role will work with the internal creative team and outside content creators to regularly develop social assets that align with the Hourglass aesthetic and brand guidelines. Success in this role requires a knowledge of the cosmetics social space, excellent social instincts, strong creative skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various parties in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of social/marketing experience
  • Experience developing and managing all aspects of monthly content calendars for Instagram and TikTok
  • Understand best practices and up-to-date design needs/restrictions across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
  • Proficient in social management and analytics tools such Dash Hudson, Meltwater, etc.
  • Experience using data and analytics to influence content creation strategy
  • Extremely detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving organization
  • Has relentlessly high standards
  • Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the planning, strategy, and creative execution of Hourglass organic social activity across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Collaborate with all the Social Team members, Brand Marketing and Creative Team in conceptualizing and executing social initiatives generating creative briefs and project managing deliverables
  • Support the overall content strategy, by developing quarterly and monthly content plans, messaging and assets to meet marketing and business goals
  • Spearhead content creator program, building strategy, selection criteria, briefings and relationship building approach
  • Lead ideation for social-first content ideas, working with appropriate teams to manage the development of concepts and see through from inception to successful execution
  • Lead social trend and competitor insights, monitoring and researching luxury, creative, and beauty trends to adapt for Hourglass brand and capitalize on in real-time
  • Identify partners and content creators to generate social assets for use on Hourglass accounts, managing creators and approvals, generating asset briefs and deliverables
  • Monitor content performance metrics to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, developing regular reports, strategy recommendations, and content best practices per platform to share with creative partners
  • Partner with editorial team to draft corresponding social copy for each asset
  • Collaborate with influencer team on creative execution on branded campaigns and identify potential creators to work with for paid opportunities
  • Gather and maintain a library of externally generated assets that fit Hourglass brand guidelines and could be repurposed for use on owned channels
  • Oversee publishing and community management across all social channels, with the goal to increase engagement and grow the overall Hourglass social communities
  • Support internal social shoots with creative briefs, call sheets and product orders
