About The Position

Opportunity Partners is a mission-focused nonprofit serving people with disabilities. The Assistant Day Service Manager oversees person-centered services, manages a team of support coaches and coordinators, develops day service programs to meet individuals’ needs, and helps meet annual budget projections. The role supports quality improvement and promotes independence for people receiving services.

Requirements

• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Meet at least one of the stated Designated Coordinator qualification pathways: a related baccalaureate degree and one year of full-time direct-care experience serving people with disabilities or people age 65 and older; a related associate degree and two years of such experience; a related postsecondary diploma and three years of such experience; or at least 50 hours of relevant education and training plus four years of such experience under the supervision of a qualified staff person.
• The posting also identifies as preferred a four-year degree in Human Services or a related field, plus at least one year of experience in the human services industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee person-centered services, ensuring processes and procedures are clearly defined, regularly evaluated, and continuously improved.
• Evaluate the individual readiness of people served for increased independence.
• Supervise staff by clarifying roles and responsibilities, building skills, and promoting teamwork.
• Recruit, interview, and hire staff based on the qualifications specified in job descriptions.
• Develop Day Services to meet the changing needs of individuals seeking support.
• Assist in creating and monitoring the budget to achieve projections.
