About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Hospitality oversees Sheetz’s customer-focused standards and supports day-to-day store operations. The role manages customer experiences and ensures Hospitality and Total Customer Focus standards are met across inventory, preparation, promotion, production, service, and sales. The Assistant Manager also leads store operations in the Store Manager’s absence and supports recruitment, selection, training, and performance management. The position includes an additional $1.50 per hour for work between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of certification testing as needed.
ServeSafe certification.
Any other legally required certification.

Nice To Haves

Two-year degree in a business-related field.
One year of experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail, or convenience operation.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager with recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of store employees.
Help determine employee work schedules.
Handle customer questions, complaints, and concerns.
Monitor employee compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs.
Follow up on responses from customer service shops, QA audits, secret shops, and SMG surveys.
Oversee timely customer transactions, facility and store cleanliness, and hospitality standards.
Check that end-of-day tasks are completed.
Maintain merchandise through proper placement, pricing, and replenishment.
Oversee profit-management processes, including shrink indicators, lottery, stock audits, vendors, car wash operations, and retail waste.
Lead day-to-day store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
