About The Position

Legend Property Group, a subsidiary of The Monument Companies, is seeking to hire a full-time Assistant Maintenance Technician to service a growing inventory of beautiful, apartment units in Martinsburg, WV. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and eager to build a long-term career in property maintenance. Assistant Maintenance Technicians earn a competitive wage of $18-$20 per hour, based on experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, learning new skills, and taking pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-kept communities. You work closely with experienced Maintenance Technicians and the Maintenance Manager while gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of maintenance functions. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, housekeeping, groundskeeping, construction trades, or related work or educational experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn new maintenance skills and take direction
  • Ability to provide courteous, professional customer service to residents
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing demands
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
