About The Position
The Assistant Maintenance Manager (AMM) helps ensure the smooth operation of the facility by leading briefings, prioritizing work orders, inspecting the facility, ensuring safety compliance, analyzing maintenance data, and supervising and developing the maintenance team. The role offers opportunities for advancement into higher management positions and specialized roles within the organization. The position is based in Joliet, Illinois, and is a full-time, direct-hire role working Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. The schedule consists of four 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- A four-year degree or five years of leadership experience in maintenance.
- At least three years of experience in a leadership role overseeing maintenance teams and programs.
- Experience performing maintenance on conveyors and robotics, or overseeing a team performing that maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Lead morning briefings and prioritize work orders.
- Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance issues.
- Ensure safety compliance and conduct audits.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Supervise and develop the maintenance team.
