About The Position

Cushman & Wakefield is hiring a full-time, direct-hire Assistant Maintenance Manager in Huntley, Illinois. The role supports a fast-paced, highly automated operation and is responsible for helping keep equipment and operations safe and reliable while developing the maintenance team. The position offers opportunities to grow into Maintenance Manager and other leadership roles.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience leading or supervising maintenance teams.
• Experience maintaining conveyor systems and robotics, or directly overseeing teams responsible for this equipment.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• A 4-year degree or at least 5 years of maintenance leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance technicians, promoting safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead daily or morning briefings and help prioritize work orders and maintenance activities.
• Oversee maintenance of conveyors, robotics, and automated material-handling equipment.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify issues before they cause costly downtime.
• Monitor maintenance performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Ensure safety procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and compliance standards are followed.
• Partner with site leadership and other teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Coach, mentor, and develop technicians and help build an internal talent pipeline.
