About The Position

Morgan Properties is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager with a “Whatever It Takes” approach for its Preserve at Becket Ridge community, a 216-unit property. This full-time role is responsible for helping ensure that the community’s physical aspects meet company standards and applicable laws. The role includes supporting and mentoring the maintenance team, troubleshooting and repairing a range of building systems, coordinating maintenance schedules and inventory, and inspecting buildings and vacant units. The position includes weekday hours and paid rotating on-call participation, with availability required for emergencies.

Requirements

• Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• One-year certificate, 2–4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Availability for paid rotating on-call participation and emergency events.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and mentor the maintenance team in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
• Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliance repair.
• Establish and prepare a 24-hour on-call schedule for the team and personally be available for snow, ice, or other on-site emergencies.
• Manage and organize inventory of maintenance materials.
• Establish on-call, preventive maintenance, make-ready, and general work order schedules for the team.
• Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
