About The Position
AmeriLux Family of Companies (AFoC) is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator for a night shift position. This role involves assisting with machine operations, quality control, packaging, and documentation. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $1,250, paid out over time, with a starting pay of $21-25/hour depending on experience and shift. Overtime opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand 12 hours consecutively
- Ability to pull, lift, or carry at least 50 lbs
- Ability to perform in a hot environment
- Effective communication with team members
Responsibilities
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Package finished products accurately and meet production output goals.
- Complete production documentation and report downtime, scrap, or defects.
- Participate in training and support team development.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
