About The Position

Scott Electric Company, a wholesale electrical distributor, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assistant Loading Supervisor for its Greensburg, Pennsylvania warehouse. Working directly with the Loading Supervisor, this hands-on leader helps oversee the accurate and safe loading of delivery trucks. The role shares responsibility for ensuring each truck contains the correct products and quantities, organized for efficient delivery and secured to prevent damage. The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates clearly, and maintains accuracy while meeting departure schedules. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., plus overtime. This is an in-person warehouse position with an 8-hour shift. Physical duties include standing, walking, bending, lifting, entering and exiting trucks, and handling materials, with or without reasonable accommodation. Equipment may be operated only after the employee has met company training and authorization requirements. Requirements

Previous warehouse, truck-loading, or distribution experience.
Ability to read and verify order documents, product numbers, quantities, and delivery instructions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned loading schedule.
Must meet company training and authorization requirements before operating equipment.
Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, entering and exiting trucks, and handling materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience.
Team leadership or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of Infor Cloud Suite Distribution software.
Knowledge of DQT software.
Experience handling electrical products, conduit, wire, and other oversized materials.

Responsibilities

Assist the Loading Supervisor in directing daily truck-loading operations and assigning work to loading personnel.
Share responsibility for accurately loading delivery trucks by verifying products and quantities against orders, load sheets, and delivery paperwork.
Ensure orders are staged for the correct truck, route, and delivery stop.
Coordinate the loading sequence so drivers can access orders efficiently and safely at each stop.
Identify and resolve missing material, incorrect products, quantity discrepancies, and damaged goods before trucks depart.
Ensure completed loads receive required final checks and signoffs.
Oversee proper placement, weight distribution, and securement of materials according to company procedures and vehicle capacity.
Coordinate with order fulfillment, shipping, dispatch, and drivers to address changes and meet scheduled departure times.
Train and coach employees on loading procedures, product handling, and order verification.
Reinforce accountability for loading accuracy, productivity, and safe work practices.
Maintain clear aisles, organized staging areas, and safe loading docks.
Perform loading duties and operate material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
Direct loading activities in the Loading Supervisor’s absence.
