Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare, residential, or high-volume institutional setting.
  • Proven experience with food ordering software, inventory tracking, and budget management.
  • Valid ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification.
  • High level of empathy and professionalism suitable for a clinical/recovery environment; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve specialized, nutritious meals for medical detox clients, maintaining service consistency by acting as lead cook in the manager's absence.
  • Manage the full supply chain—from budget-conscious ordering and vendor coordination to rigorous inventory tracking and waste reduction (FIFO).
  • Oversee kitchen sanitation, equipment maintenance, and audit-ready documentation to ensure 100% adherence to health department and safety standards.
  • Support the training of kitchen personnel on facility-specific dietary requirements and safety protocols.
